A good Cartoon often tells the story in a better way than 1000 words

  1. If you are so opposed to the Catholic Church, what about Christ said in Mat 16:

17Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven. 18And I tell you that you are Peter,[c] and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades[d] will not overcome it.[e] 19I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be[f] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[g] loosed in heaven.” 20Then he warned his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Christ.

Are you saying the gates of Hades have overcome the Church??

    1. Dear Jim.

Shalom, and thanks for this very good question.

John the Baptist baptized Jesus. And the baptists continued to baptize people with the same baptism.

In 325 A.D the true Church is challenged by the Emperor of Rome claiming to have become a Christian. He promoted the Bishop of Rome to be the head of the Church, the vicar of Christ.

In the forth century, the Emperor of Rome did not control the whole Church. There were free synods and Bishops several places. The full Assyrian Church of the East has never been under Rome. That included the Thomas Church in India, who first became Vaticanized after the Portuguese invasion of the Indian Ocean in 1498 A.D.

There has always been a true Church parallel to Rome. But the true Church history has only been written in the book of the living in Heaven.

This is a persecuted and bruised Church, and The Bishop of Rome massacred re-baptizers of Catholics. Rome and Islam is equally responsible for killing of Jews and evangelical Baptists, that refused to submit to Worldly powers and anti-Christian leadership. There was a reason why Martin Luther called the pope of his time an anti-Christ. And I do the same.
