The Icelandic volcano Katla is 10 times more powerful than the hot mountain that stopped air-traffic in Europe last year.
Katla last erupted in 1918. It is said to be 10 times more powerful than Eyjafjoell. who erupted last year.
Now, Katla is heating up. The sleeping volcano is sending a wall of meltwater down the glacier, bearing ice chunks the size of houses, and blanketing southern Iceland in thick ash.
And according to experts, Katla is overdue for a powerful blast.
The seismometres had meanwhile gone crazy at the time the so-called river-run occurred, and Ilyinskaya hinted that the activity at Katla may actually have caused sensors around the Hekla volcano, about 110 kilometres (70 miles) east of Reykjavik, to indicate in recent days an eruption there could be imminent.
“It’s not unlikely that the activity we saw there was actually caused by the Katla glacier. They’re pretty close,” she said, adding that measurements around both volcanoes now seemed calm.

World Airport systems are fragile man made systems.
It Katla blows its top for a month or so, we can say farewell to the Euro-zone.
Greece will become “beyond possibilities of recovery”. Ireland and Portugal will default again. The fragile Italian economy will finally collapse, and Spain will most likely follow suit.
It will take months to get back to normal life. Up from the aches, will come a demand for a new One World Currency. And the One World Government will bring in a “super King”, that will end the chaos, and bring “peace”.
Why volcano’s?

These are wonderous times to be living in, and what an honor it is to know that GOd has chosen us to share the Gospel of Jesus, in these last days. Watching the fulfillment of prophecy at such an astounding pace, is nothing short of awe inspireing. We are a privileged generation, and this is not the time to grow weary or faint.
As we witness the intentional destruction of our economy, keep in mind, that it all belongs to God. It is His to do with as He pleases, and nothing can happen without His consent.
Personally, I’m looking forward to seeing GOd’s mighty hand at work, angels flying through sky, screaming out the everlasting gospel, the two witnesses, His Sprit being poured out on His people, the harvest of souls, and much much more.
Yes, there will be martyrs, plagues, fire, and destruction, but, we have the promise of Jesus: ‘I will be with you, even until the end of the age.’
Then one day, when we are certain that we can endure no more; a great light will appear, and fill the earth, and we will see the Bridegroom coming for us, on the clouds of heaven. In the twinkeling of an eye, we will be changed. At that very moment, we will have stepped into eternity.
