Erekat: US made it clear it would veto resolution. Arab Palestinians also face treat of economic cuts.
Signs of tensions between the Palestinian Authority and the US surfaced over the weekend following a visit to Washington by two senior Palestinian envoys, Saeb Erekat and Nabil Abu Rudaineh.
The two men went to Washington last week for talks with US government officials on the PA’s intention to ask the United Nations in September to recognize a Palestinian state on the pre-1967 lines.
Erekat said upon his arrival in Amman that the talks in Washington did not produce any results.

President Obama faces stern opposition in the US Senate for his plan to support a “Palestinian state”. Simply because formation of such a statehood is not going to solve the conflict.
There can not be peace between Jews and Arabs, before the Arab nations recognize the state of Israel. It is not possible to revoke 1948, and dissolve the Jewish state.
For Israel is is not possible to return to the not defensible 1967-borders. The Arabs lost this war also, and the looser’s are not going to set the borders around Israel. Jerusalem is liberated from Islamic occupation, and that victory must not be denied nor revoked.
