Signs of the End Times: 42 million people forced to flee their homes

In this June 23, 2010 file photo released by China's Xinhua News Agency, armed police help residents evacuating from flooded area in Fuzhou city, central China's Jiangxi Province

OSLO, Norway – About 42 million people were forced to flee their homes because of natural disasters around the world in 2010, more than double the number during the previous year, experts said Monday.

One reason for the increase in the figure could be climate change, and the international community should be doing more to contain it, the experts said.

The Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre said the increase from 17 million displaced people in 2009 was mainly due to the impact of “mega-disasters” such as the massive floods in China and Pakistan and the earthquakes in Chile and Haiti.

It said more than 90 percent of the disaster displacements were caused by weather-related hazards such as floods and storms that were probably impacted by global warming, but it couldn’t say to what extent.

“The intensity and frequency of extreme weather events is increasing, and this trend is only set to continue. With all probability, the number of those affected and displaced will rise as human-induced climate change comes into full force,” said Elisabeth Rasmusson, the secretary general of the Norwegian Refugee Council.

My Comment:

Since the Holy Bible is 100% correct because Our Lord Jesus Christ words will never pass away, the signs of the end times are in full force, ranging from tornadoes, to volcanoes, and much more.

Luke 21:10-11

Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.  There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

Many claim that the Bible is not the truth and that it is mere coincidence that these natural disasters are occurring. But Our God is a True God, whose words will reign forevermore.

Isaiah 55:11

so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

But do not be alarmed. Because Jesus Christ said these things must occur prior to his coming, which in fact is very near.

Luke 21-28

“There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.  People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.  At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.  When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

  1. These are not signs. This stuff has been happening since the beginning of creation. These things happened 10, 50, 100, and 1000 years ago. The difference – Twitter, Yahoo, Facebook, and round the clock cable news.

Did you know that it took almost a month for the signing of the Declaration of Independence (which happened in Philly) to make the news papers in WIlliamsburg, VA?

Now an intern can get caught with a congressman on a remote island in the Pacific and we can find out about it in seconds.

I will reserve my opinion on Jesus out respect for your beliefs.

    1. Nelson,

You need not reserve anything because Christ knows what’s in your heart. These signs are increasing and mankind refuses to ignore this fact.

(Some of) Mankind’s ignorance will be their own destruction, unless they realize soon that it is only Christ who can save them.

Ephesians 4:18 They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.

      1. I’m Jewish. Therefore my belief in Jesus, if he existed, is that he was just a man. He may have had some wonderful teachings but, everything he taught was based on teachings in the Torah. I think Paul created a whole new religion around a Jesus being God rather than what Jesus taught about God.

      2. Nelson,

with all due respect, to not believe in Jesus Christ means you are endanger of losing your soul.

        Jesus says in John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;

He said that for a reason, simply because it was the truth. I think Paul spoke the truth about Jesus, because he believed in our King, Our Messiah.

Straight from our King: John 8:24 I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am [the one I claim to be], you will indeed die in your sins.”

      3. Gloria, that mat be what you believe however I walked that path already and Judaism is the truth faith. Christianity to me is idolatry because it’s beliefs revolve around a man and not God.

To quote one’s words about themself does not make it a fact. To quote someone who said someone said something is hearsay.

        No disrespect intended.

      4. Dear Nelson Rose.

Shalom, and welcome to this site.

        My reply:

If God wants to come down from Heaven and take form of a man, can you stop Him?

        Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Please explain to me: Who is this child? Who is this son?

      5. Nelson,

Jesus is God. That’s the point you missed, and if you say you’ve walked this path before, then you have not walked it and truly sought God. Because if you did, then you’d realize that if you don’t believe in Jesus, then you will not be saved.

Isaiah 43:10,11 – “You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no Savior.”

      6. My dear Nelson, I wish I could tell you that you are right about who Christ is just to make you feel good for a very short time, but I know first hand that Jesus Christ is everything said about Him in the Holy Bible, He is God made man. What do I mean by first hand? Well, I have been in two major apparitions and witnessed several awesome miracles just to tell my fellow human beings that Christ is all loving God. He truly is what I am telling you and we should be so grateful He made us His children made upon His image and He loves us. Hell and Heaven are true places and we are choosing where to go eternally. He loves us but He’s also just. He is Almighty and all goodness, he is our Farther’s sent despite there are so many people that do not see yet His real supernatural essence. He love us even before we were born. He is patiently waiting for our positive response to His limitless love. Aren’t you glad that God loves us so much? What else can He do for us, He has done everything imaginable and more. His ways and paths are not for us to understand, He is sovereign and He loves us more that we could begin to understand my dear Nelson. Let Him guide your life, do not resist Him or try to outsmart Him. Remember that I have seen many supernatural things, I am convinced Jesus is the son of God. Be thankful and grateful to His infinite love. Abba means our daddy in heaven and He, our daddy loves us too much. There are so many warnings God has sent us, lets be vigilant and ready.

      7. You guys quote Isaiah and nothing Isaiah wrote was about Jesus. It is very important when quoting scriptures to read the entire chapter and sometimes multiple chapters rather than just slice and dice verses to make prophetic statements that are untrue.

I am sorry if my views offend you but, I am entitled to them. I don’t believe a man to be God. Simple as that. God was very clear about human sacrifices being abhorrent to him. That was why the land of Canaan was wiped out the way it was. SO to then say that a human sacrifice was required to appease God is just wrong and contradicts scriptures. The Bible (to me the Bible is only what you call the Old Testament) is very clear on man being responsible for their own actions and God’s willingness to forgive provided a person ask for forgiveness and repent.

There is no orignal sin in the Torah, no prophecy of Jesus in the Torah, and no devil in the Torah, and no indication that anyone other than the individual would be responsible for the actions they perform.

Judaismn is a religion of deeds not creeds. It is all to easy to say you believe a certain way. Beliefs are nothing though if your actions are detestable. As it says in the Torah “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, sould and mind.” It also says “Love thy neighbor as yourself”. Christians credit Jesus with this morals but, they preceded Jesus.

You may pray for me but, I will pray for you as well. I know that all of you are probably wonderful people and your faith is obviously very strong. Mine is as well and before you worry about my soul perishing keep in mind. Jesus studied Torah and he was very clear about its importance. How important is the Torah to you. Do you study it or do you spend your time reading letters Paul wrote to churches who couldn’t remain morally straight?

The answers are all in the Torah and they always have been – even Jesus knew that…

      8. Dear Nelson Rose.

        My comment:

I am very happy that you take this example of Jesus and the Torah. Who was this man? Who do you think that He is? Did He rise from the dead?

      9. Shalom Nelson,

I have been resisting further comment on this because I am learning that people very rarely change their minds or hearts due to my typed words on a page. But I felt a bigger tug at my heart with your last comment.
The Holy One of Israel called my out of church and into His Torah about 6 years ago. You are correct. All the teaching and instructions are in the Torah of HaShem. When our Messiah said repent – He was saying return – return to My Teachings and My Instructions and He walked it out for all of us to see, hear, and read about.
Now that I know the truth concerning His Torah, I plainly see that my Messiah Yahusha and the written Torah are One and the same. They are Echad. He is the living Torah and Mosheh gave us the written Torah – One and the same. My Messiah gives me the spirit with which to be obedient to that Torah – His Instructions for life for me. I do not deny My Creator made manifest in the flesh, who performed the act of Redeeming me as His Bride, so that I can now abide and walk with My Creator as a restored and forgiven and redeemed bride that in my adulterous ways – could not abide and walk with Him.
I pray that all can know and understand. Torah and Messiah Yahusha are One. We never have to deny One of them to do the other. It is just the opposite of this. All of the TaNaK prophesies of the fact that our Creator would provide a way of restoration – and in fact – it was Himself. He is the only One who could do it, and He did. For He loved the world so much, that He gave Himself for it. Amen

      10. Dear Sequlah

        You wrote:

Torah and Messiah Yahusha are One.

        My reply:

The Messiah is the author of the Torah. He is not a word, nor a physical paper. He came to fulfill what He gave Moses. He is the person promised in the Prophetic Word of the Tanak. He is the Word that became flesh, The living God who took form of a human.

      11. Shalom Ivar, Yes I agree with you wholeheartedly. My comment was to say Messiah IS the Torah – living, breathing, walking, speaking, healing, restoring. And since we do have all of the Words He Spoke since the beginning of time, written down by Moses – and spoken from Himself when He manifested Himself as the Living Word in the Flesh – ALL of the Scripture is for us to walk in. We do not disagree. (I don’t think?)

      12. Nelson,

Your comment: You guys quote Isaiah and nothing Isaiah wrote was about Jesus. It is very important when quoting scriptures to read the entire chapter and sometimes multiple chapters rather than just slice and dice verses to make prophetic statements that are untrue.

My Comment: Then here is a verse straight from Our King.

John 10:30 I and the Father are one.

  2. Shalom Gloria, I could not agree with you more. I sure wish you guys had a facebook share on your site so that I could share your posts on facebook. If I am missing the button, I apologize. Thank you for your work during these “never seen before” times.

    1. Segulah,

I do not believe Ivar has created a facebook for this blog. But feel free to post the link, so others may be lead to Christ.

      God Bless,

      1. Dear Gloria and Sequlah

I have not created a facebook for this blog. But there are quite a few that link up articles from News That Matters in their facebook’s. Please go ahead and do like them.

  3. Yes, I wish there was a FB share button, too. I paste the URL into, so it will shrink it, and then paste that small URL into my FB status.

    1. Hey! I just did what you suggested Shannon, and it worked beautifully! Thank you and YHWH Bless you all who are continuing in the Faith once delivered to the Saints. May He grant us strength and everincreasing Faith.

  4. I believe Jesus was a man. He was a radical rabbi for lac of better words he identified the hypocrisy of some of the leaders of the Sanhedrin (ironic that we see similar hypocisy in the church now).

He was crucified for being the rebel he was. It was brutal and it was unjustified. He died yet his message lived on. The message which was intended as a reformation was corrupted and resulted in an entirely new religion.

God is one and only one. Jesus was not God. The evidence of this is his very own actions of praying to God and crying out to God while he was dying.

There is nothing any of you can’t teach me that I don’t already know. I am a former Christian – 28 years I walked that path. No offense but, it is the wrong path. There is far more to life than just beliefs. Actions speak louder than words.

    1. Dear Nelson.

If you are right, the New Testament is a falsehood. My faith in Jesus is worthless. He was not the radical rabbi that you claim, but rather a liar and a deceiver. Because He equaled Him self with God, the Great I am.

      John 8:58
“Very truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!”

The Jewish apostle Thomas is also a fool. Because He said to Him: ” My Lord and my God”. Fools, believers of lies, are also all who have died as worshipers of Jesus.

I have chosen to follow Jesus. I know He is alive, and that you are a liar.

      1. Ivarfjeld –

Yes, I reject the New Testament to be part of the Bible. While there are some good moral precepts there is nothing there that can’t be found in the Torah and the story of Jesus is striking similar to that of Hercules, Mithras, Krishna and a long list of other false messiahs.

Is name calling necessary? I can be rude as well. He’s dead and he’s not coming back – he said he would be back in all his glory to his disciples while some of them were alive – didn’t happen and the apostles said the end was near almost 2,000 years ago – just like you foolishly do now.

I respectfully disagreed with you and you chose to resort to the stupidity of name calling. Just an example of the hypocrisy that plagues you self righteous christians.

Sorry Gloria, this is the exact nonsense and unitelligent debate that I was trying to avoid. I will not post here anymore.

      2. Dear Nelson.

May Jesus bless you and keep you. May He appear in your life, cut you in your heart, so you will not be eternally lost. Amen.

  5. Great article Gloria sorry to hear about your disbelief in the NT Nelson as well as in christ. John 14:6. There’s only one way to heaven no where in the Torah does it say that. I hope you change your mind soon before its too late. He’s coming soon!

  6. Annihilated with sulfur just like in the days of lot thank ”YOU CPS” and there evil plan’s ripping families apart and now they are after my boy what happened in the days of lot?
