Chairman of Beta Israel Association says another 80 arrested as 2,000 Ethiopian Jews gather to demand entry into Israel, Israeli citizenship.
A Jewish group says that Ethiopian police injured 80 Ethiopian Jewish protesters and arrested 80 more during a demonstration near the Israeli Embassy in Addis Ababa.
Hamse Sutotow, chairman of the Beta Israel Association, said 2,000 Ethiopian Jews gathered Wednesday at the Israeli Embassy. The protesters were demanding the right to Israeli citizenship.
The members of a 2,000-strong community in Addis Ababa claim Jewish lineage, but their very origins are doubted by authorities in Israel who believe they are imposters seeking entry under the guise of religion.
Over 100,000 Ethiopian Jews already live in Israel and Jerusalem recently granted entry to 7,800 more from only the northern town of Gonder, where all Ethiopian Jews — known as the Falash Mura — originate from.

Zionism is all about a end time home coming of Jews to the land of their forefather.
Jesus said very clearly that He had not come to change the law and the prophetic Word. He came and will return to fulfill all prophecies.
For all who can read the prophet Ezekiel, it is obvious that Jesus the Messiah is behind the return of the Jewish people to the mountains of Zion.
I will bring them out from the nations and gather them from the countries, and I will bring them into their own land. I will pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in all the settlements in the land.
and say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them back into their own land.
Let us pray for the remnant of the Jews in Ethiopia. That they will be able to get their hand on the ticket back home, as God of the Bible has promised.

What a neat story watching the Messiah bring His people home. Praise His Name.
Why does Israel think that the Ethiopians are imposters? How is such an accusation verified? Is it their names?
There are already 100.000 Ethiopean Jews inside Israel. The remaining 2.000 somehow refused, or was not able to return to Zion when the air lift was available.
The state of Israel is also skeptical to claim of being Jewish, for some of the left behinds. We must pray that all who have Jewish blood, or are true proselytes of Judaism will be able to return home.
Ivar I have to admit I struggle with rooting for the Jews to come back to Israel. I have heard several pastors say that 2/3 of all jews will die in the tribulation according to Zecharia 13:8. Especially knowing how close we are to the tribulation. Ivar what are your thoughts about Jews who do not claim Jesus as the messiah. Are they in hell or do you think there is a some kind of second salvation opportunity. My pastor says they are in hell I dont know why I cant come to grips with that? Even though I know what John 14:6 says.
Will every human being that rejects Jesus, have to spend eternity in Hell?
The answer is yes.
Are both Jews and gentiles judged by the same measure?
The answer is yes.
This is the New Covenant written down in the New Testament.
I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins.”
If you believe and obey Jesus you are saved. His blood is the only remedy for sins. Faith in Jesus is the only justification.
Thanks Ivar what are your thoughts about Zecharia 13:8?
In the whole land,” declares the LORD, “two-thirds will be struck down and perish; yet one-third will be left in it.
(end of scripture)
Whatever age this prophetic word might fit into, it explains that God is not protecting His own people, when they disobey. His wrath comes up on them.
Some Zionists feel that the Jews now have suffered enough, and that the remnant of Jews “deserve” to be saved. This is a noble thought, but not scriptural. The Jews who were taken out of Egypt, were not allowed into the promised land. Not even Moses. In the Holocaust, almost 50 per cent of the Jews on Planet Earth perished. All Jews will perish if they do not accept the only salvation made available by their own God.
At the very moment of the return of Jesus, all true Israel will be saved. That includes Jews who are waiting for Him, and will utter: “Blessed are you who come in the name of Elohim”. Many secular Jews in Israel, have now turned “semi-Messianic”. They do no longer rule out that Jesus is the Messiah, and the only hope for Israel.
