US Rep: “If we fail Israel, the US will fall”

U.S. Republicans may have to choose between two women – Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann – for their presidential candidate in 2012.

Michelle Bachmann is a warm supporter of the state of Israel.

Minnesota Congresswoman Bachmann, the GOP House of Representatives leader of the Tea Party movement, repeated her charges Sunday that U.S. President Barack Obama is running a “gangster government.” She did not withdraw her comments that his polices are “anti-American.”

Rep. Bachmann previously has expressed deep respect for the Torah and said last year,

“I am convinced in my heart and in my mind that if the United States fails to stand with Israel, that is the end of the United States . . . that as a nation, we have been blessed because of our relationship with Israel, and if we reject Israel, then there is a curse that comes into play.”

She volunteered on a kibbutz after high school. She is not Jewish and has stated, “I am a Christian, but I consider my heritage Jewish, because it is the foundation, the roots of my faith as a Christian.”

The Congresswoman has paid more official visits to Israel than to any other country, but the focus of her speeches has been the American economy and “Obama Care.” Speaking on Meet the Press Sunday, Rep. Bachmann declined to state when she will decide one way or the other if she will run for the Republican presidential nomination.

My Comment:

Michele’s statement, ““I am convinced in my heart and in my mind that if the United States fails to stand with Israel, that is the end of the United States . . . that as a nation, we have been blessed because of our relationship with Israel”

There is much validity in Michele’s statement. Every country that is against Israel and choose to eliminate the people of Israel will have to answer to God on that account. That Barak Obama says he supports Israel, and then does something differently brands him a hypocrite.

I hope and pray that Obama leads the United States towards Jesus Christ, and awaken and realize it is better for the US to stand with Israel, then against them.

Zechariah 12 verses 8:9

On that day the LORD will shield those who live in Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of the LORD going before them. On that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem.

  1. Thank you for bringing this post, Gloria! I did not know these things about her. I liked her before, but now all the more. I have not heard words clearly and truthfully spoken in this manner from a politician in so long – it seems I am dreaming.
    Shabbat Shalom

  2. Michelle does not know who Gods true people are. In accordance with the New testament which is the new covenant The true seed of Abraham is Christ and all who are in Christ.(Gal 3) The promises that were spoken were spoken in Genesis were spoken to Abraham and his seed, who is Christ and all who are in Christ are Abrahams seed. The Kingdom of God is now belongs to anyone who believes. As I see it: if america wants to be blessed it needs to make policy that will favor Christ and the elect and the preaching of the gospel, not sending weapons to the antiChrist nation of Israel. Jesus said if you don’t believe in me then you do not believe in God. They (Israeli’s) do not believe in Jesus. With all due respect to Michelle, and I like her because of many other issues she stands for, she has got the Israel issue wrong. She needs to study her bible deeper

    1. Todd,

We are in living in the end days, and the nations that do not stand by Israel will have judgment on them, especially those who are against Israel, and continue to attack and murder their people.

      Ezekiel 38

14 “Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: In that day, when my people Israel are living in safety, will you not take notice of it? 15 You will come from your place in the far north, you and many nations with you, all of them riding on horses, a great horde, a mighty army. 16 You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land. In days to come, Gog, I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I am proved holy through you before their eyes.

      1. We have been supporting Israel since its rebirth as a nation. As I see it we are a nation that has been falling and continues to fall.I believe our falling is due to the unfavoring of our government towards the believing church. The traditional belief is that anyone who blesses Israel will be blessed. Our support for Israel has cost the lives of many of our young men and women. Many who are of the household of faith

    2. Brother Todd,
I hope you read my references below. Your thoughts are somewhat unsettling in that they are a true spirit of anti-semitism. You are blaming the People in the land of Israel for the works of our own Nation and government. Our nation is suffering because we no longer hold to the Principles of the God of the Scriptures. He has been completely removed from our daily lives. This is not the fault of the people of the land of Israel, it is ours. Additionally, our government has not supported Israel for many years now – particularly in the dividing of the land that does not belong to us. If we were to return to the True Word of the God of Israel AND stop attempting to divide His land and remove it from His People, we would be blessed. We have only ourselves to blame for out current condition – not the people of the land of Israel.

      1. Dear Todd.

God has not restored Israel to glorify the Jewish people. God of the Bible has restored Israel to glorify Him self. The Jewish people are sinners like all of us. They need to repent, and be saved by their own Messiah. Support of Israel, is to love them without conditions. And to love the Jewish people enough to also give them the Gospel about a Jew from Nazareth, who is the only God who can save them.

      2. Brother Segulah
Please forgive me for comming across as hating Israel. I do not. I have several Jewish friends that I associate with fairly regular. You are correct that not following
the God of the scriptures is the reason why
our nation is in the condition that it is.
The point I am trying to make is that the people of God are people from all nations that believe with faith in Messiah Jesus Christ. Blessing from God goes to anyone who blesses his people. We are under the new covenant not the old. God has made the two; Jew and Gentile who believe in his son Jesus as one man there is no difference between them. I love my Jewish brothers who love Jesus and my prayer for Israel nation is that they will put their faith in Jesus.
The way our nation should support Israel and any other nation for that matter is to give them the good news of Jesus.
Jesus is the answer to all of mans problems.

      3. Shalom Todd, I am so glad to read what you have written concerning our brethren Judah, now if we could only present the True Messiah to Him (and not a paganized one) perhaps we would no longer be a stumbling block to them – and they could see their Hebrew Messiah, believe, and be saved today.

    3. Todd , for one you need to read ALL scripture. Romans nine , ten and eleven , not to mention Genesis 12:3 concerning who is cursred. After in enditmes like now..soon G-d’s eyes will turn back to Israel and open their eyes..It is better to believe G-dthan man. Of course Christ is over all of everything, BUT read Romans..Christ blinded the Jews so that we Heathen could have the power to become sons of G-d,,soon the times of the gentiles will be over. Taking scripture out of context leaves lies..All thru scripture G-d tellls us the TRUTH

  3. Any American politician that favors a stifled foreign country in front of democracy will be plowed under at the polls and filed under ‘freak’, Palin, Huckabee, this Bachmann b-word>all of ya.

    1. Matt,

Do not think that even you would escape God’s judgment. The Bible says every knee shall bow and confess to God. Did you get that? Every knee- every person will bow and confess to God our Creator.

Romans 14:11 It is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.'”

  4. The blessings from God on a nation go to the nation that favors or blesses Abraham and his seed. Again Gal chapter 3 the apostle Paul states under the inspiration of God’ The promises were spoken to Abraham and his seed who is Christ and all who are in Christ are Abrahams seed. Under the new covenant which we all believers, (elect Jews and Gentiles)who are the church are the seed of Abraham. We are the true seed. Not the unbelieving nation of Israel

  5. “They shall be put to shame, and even be humiliated, all of them – the makers of idols shall go away together in humiliation. 17 Yisra’el shall be saved by YHWH with an everlasting deliverance. You are not to be ashamed nor hurt, forever and ever.” Isaiah 45:16-17

“See, the days are coming,” declared YHWH, “when I shall raise for David a Branch of Righteousness, and a Sovereign shall reign and act wisely, and shall do right-ruling and righteousness in the earth. 6 “In His days Yahudah shall be saved, and Yisra’el dwell safely. And this is His Name whereby He shall be called: YHWH our Righteousness.’ Jeremiah 23:5-6

Both Houses are prophesied to be saved, delivered and live. Because we do not know each and every heart of the Tribe of Judah currently living in the land, it is wise for us not to take the judgment and right-ruling that only belongs to the Almighty One of Israel. What we have is an Instruction from our Elohim to Bless His People. Obedience to that Instruction is what is required for Believers – no matter where they live.

    1. Jesus is from the tribe of Judah. He is referred to as the lion from the tribe of Judah. Under the new covenant that was established by Jesus and is mediated by him. Believers are given sonship through adoption. Believers,no matter who they are.
are true seed of Abraham. Jesus tribal roots are from Judah therefore making anyone who believes
belonging to Judah. Thats why Jeremiah prophesied
in (his days)when Jesus came Judah would receive salvation. The Branch of righteousness for David was and is Jesus

      1. Yahusha (Jesus) is mediator of a new priesthood, not covenant – the order of Malkitsedeq. Yahusha is of the Tribe of Judah – yes. He is the lion of the Tribe of Judah – yes. New Covenant is like new moon, it is not new, but rather re-newed. We now can approach our Heavenly Father through the mediation supplied by the Blood of Messiah which covers our uncleanness. When we profess our Trust in Messiah, we are not Judah but grafted in to the Commonwealth of Israel.

      2. segulah,

You said: Yahusha (Jesus) is mediator of a new priesthood, not covenant…” And, “New Covenant is like new moon, it is not new,…”

Jesus says it’s a new covenant. See Luke 22:20
In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

Here’s another scripture for you, if interested:
        2 Corinthians 3:6
He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

        And these:

        Hebrews 8:6
But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises.

Hebrews 8:7 For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another. 8 But God found fault with the people and said:

“The days are coming, declares the Lord,
when I will make a new covenant
        with the people of Israel
and with the people of Judah.
9 It will not be like the covenant
        I made with their ancestors
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of Egypt,
because they did not remain faithful to my covenant,
and I turned away from them,
        declares the Lord.

So, from the scriptures we can see there are two covenants, an old and a new.
The new covenant was promised during the time of the first covenant, it was promised for a time in the future, which would be given to us by the blood of Jesus Christ.

      3. Luke 22:20 new vs. renewed:
Both Aramaic “khawdata” and Hebrew “chadasha” means renewed as in Psalm 51:10, “renew a right spirit within me”, Lam. 5:21 “renew our days of old’. “Chadash” can also be “new” as in “repair” as in Isaiah 61:4 “repair the waste places”.

Jeremiah 31:31-37, YHWH spoke of the Renewed Covenant also, that He would “put my Torah in their inwards parts, and write it in their hearts….
The covenant is the same, only the location is different – from stone tablets to our hears.
Both “The Scriptures” which is a Hebrew to English Translation and the Aramaic to English New Testament have translated the words of our Hebrew/Aramaic speaking Messiah in Luke 22:20 as “renewed”.

2 Corinthians 3:6 – the same word is used and the proper translation is “Renewed”

In Hebrews chapter 8, if you read carefully, the whole chapter is dealing with the Levitical Priesthood and the covenant with the Levites. Even the word “covenant” in verse 7 is in italics in the KJV, which we know means that the word was inserted and not originally there. And that covenant of the Levitical Priesthood did go away (temple destroyed in AD 70) AND it did have faults in that the mediator was a man capable of sin who therefore had to sacrifice for his own covering prior to sacrificing for the people. The whole chapter is concerning the Levitical priesthood as mediator.

In the 2nd century AD, a man named Marcion decided to divide the scriptures into an “Old” and a “New” and this started this error.
        Shalom and Bless you

      4. Segulah,
I don’t agree with you about the word ‘new’ and your case that it is not a “new covenant.” Especially in light of the old covenant is called “old.”

How is the old covenant merely “renewed” or “refreshed” by what Jesus did for us?

Does it really change what you think or hope it does to use ‘renewed’ instead of ‘new’?

        God bless.

      5. Shalom Victoria,

“I don’t agree with you about the word ‘new’ and your case that it is not a “new covenant.” Especially in light of the old covenant is called “old.””

Well, certainly if is difficult (I spent 35 years in protestant church) and I believed also it was a new covenant, but it is not me who is saying renewed but our Messiah, and Paul, and Jeremiah who call it a renewed covenant.

“How is the old covenant merely “renewed” or “refreshed” by what Jesus did for us?”

The Creator chose a Nation of People, Israel, to make a covenant with, speaking of the Mosaic Covenant of course. There are also Adamic, Noadic, Abrahamic, Mosaic, Davidic, and Messianic. None of them replace any of the former they are ever progressing. And so it is important for us to not think that the Messiah brought us something “new” because it truly leads to the notion that God has changed or replaced promises. Prior to the passion of Messiah at Calvary, the Atonement was made for sin through the sacrificial system of animals – which could never remove sin, only cover sin so that we could be near to God, and it had to be repeated continually. This is what “kept” the Israelites (all tribes of Israel), until Messiah came. As you know, the Northern Kingdom (and later Southern too) went into such adultery that Father scattered them and gave them a writ of divorce Jeremiah 3:8.
According to Mosaic Law (The Torah of our Creator) a man cannot remarry a woman he has divorced – which would mean that all of the People of God of the Northern Kingdom were no longer in covenant with God. The penalty for adultery is death.
Messiah paid that penalty for Her so that the marriage supper at the end of the age could again happen. He removed the Law of Sin and Death upon His People Israel.
Messiah said “And He answering, said “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Yisra’el.” Matt 15:24.
We get to also come near through the blood of Messiah because His Blood covers ALL who trust and believe in Him and Who He is and what He has done in that He now lives. We are grafted in to the commonwealth of Israel, Praise His Name forever!

“Does it really change what you think or hope it does to use ‘renewed’ instead of ‘new’?”

The word “new” gives license for people to falsely teach that Father’s Torah (His teachings and instructions) have been done away with. His Torah is life as stated by Moses in Deut chapter 30 where Father prophesies all these things to happen. And now, by the Set-apart Spirit, the Torah is written on our hearts so that we can do them in the Spirit and we would want to do them out of Love through the Holy Spirit, who gives us the inclination to desire to be obedient.

        God bless.

      6. Segulah,
I can give a longer defense of the word ‘new,’ but this has to come later when I have more time.
Using the word ‘renew’ instead of ‘new’ does not do what you would like it too. Nor have you proven ‘renewed’ is the actual meaning.

You don’t need to separate the old testament into a lot of different covenants, such as Adamic, Noadic, Abrahamic, Mosaic, Davidic, and Messianic.

There is the promise God gave to Abraham, and the promise is given to us through Jesus Christ.
        There is only one gospel.

You said: “According to Mosaic Law (The Torah of our Creator) a man cannot remarry a woman he has divorced – ”

Please show me where that is the the Bible.

You want an illustration from marriage? Read about Paul’s illustration from marriage:
Romans 7:4 So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. 5 For when we were in the realm of the flesh, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in us, so that we bore fruit for death. 6 But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.

Those under the law died to the law through the body of Christ, that they might belong to another,

      7. Hello segulah,

In addition to what Victoria has said, understand this:

1 John 3:4-6 Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.

Because of this, we know that the new covenant does not abolish the law, because without law, there would be no sin. The point of the new covenant is that we are not saved by our works, as it were in the old, but that we are saved unto good works.

      8. Hello Steve,
We have to know though, believers are not to let anyone judge them by what we eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. (Col.2:13-17.)
Believers are not to be compelled to be circumcised. Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything. (Gal. 6:11-18.)
Every man who lets himself be circumcised then he is obligated to obey the whole law. Anyone who is trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. (Gal. 5:1-15.)
We are warned in the Bible to watch out, for some people will try to get us to follow Jewish customs. (Gal. 4:8-20; Gal. 2:11-21; Hebrews 12:15.)

The new covenant law is the “perfect law.”

But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does. James 1:15.

  6. For I do not wish you to be ignorant of this secret, brothers, lest you should be wise in your own estimation, that hardening in part has come over Yisra’el, until the completeness of the gentiles has com in. 26 And so all Yisra’el shall be saved, as it has been written, “The Deliverer shall come out of Tsiyon, and He shall turn away wickedness from Ya’aqob, 27 And this is My covenant with them, when I take away their sins.” 28 Truly, as regards the Good News, [they are] enemies for your sake, but concerning the choice [they are] beloved for the sake of the fathers. Romans 11:25-28

“And the Redeemer shall come to Tsiyon, and to those turning from transgression in Ya’aqob,” declares YHWH. 21 As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” said YHWH: “My Spirit that is upon you, and My Words that I have put in your mouth, shall not be withdrawn from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” said YHWH, “from this time and forever.” Isaiah 59:20-21

9 “And it shall be in that day that I seek to destroy all the gentiles that come against Yerushalayim. 10 And I shall pour on the House of David and on the inhabitants of Yerushalayim a spirit of favor and prayers. And they shall look on Me whom they pierced and they shall mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son. And they shall be in bitterness over Him as a bitterness over the first-born.

    1. segulah,
What Bible translation do you use? All translations I have searched does not say all the “gentiles” that come against Yerushalayim. All the translations I have searched say “nations” instead of “gentiles.”

      1. Shalom Victoria
I am using “The Scriptures” published by The Institute for Scripture Reseach. The word is H1471 and can mean: a foreign nation; a Gentile; also (figuratively) a troop of animals, or a flight of locusts: – Gentile, heathen, nation, people.

      2. I think ‘nation’ should of been used. To use the word ‘Gentile’ could cause a misunderstanding.

      3. Dear Victoria

Thanks for ministering on this blog.

I agree with you. The Jews like to look on those who are not Jews as “Goyim”. We who love the Jewish Messiah Jesus are not “gentiles”. We are very much the spiritual Israel, who have enlarged the nation of Israel. Not replaced Her.

Many Jews who do not believe in the Messiah, are at present a bigger danger to the Jewish nation than Messianic believers on Jesus, both Jews and non Jewish believers.

    2. Yes Jesus is our great High priest of the order of
Melchizadek. The priest hood under Moses was of the Levites. but under the new covenant or renewed as you say,the priesthood is of and through Jesus who is from the tribe of Judah of which there is no mention in the law. The writer of Hebrews points out that when there is a change in the priesthood there is a change in the law

      1. Dear Todd and Segulah.

The New Covenant in the blood of Jesus, is not a re-new-ed Covenant. The blood of Jesus has replaced all other blood sacrifices. Those who are not washed in the blood of the lamb of God, will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. A man that is not born again by the Spirit of God, CAN not enter the Kingdom. These are the Words of the Messiah, God in Flesh, that walked in Jerusalem.

      2. Dear Ivarfjeld
I agree that it is a new covenant and not renewed. It is superior to the old as Jesus is superior to moses, angels, the prophets. I have never adresseed it as renewed from the time I began this dialogue.. The new covenant is superior. We who believe are priests. As Revalation and Peter state we mke up a Royal priesthood, a kingdom of priests. Hebrews teaches that we offer up a sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving. How wonderful that is. Oh the new covenant is so much better!!

  7. Regarding the article about Michelle Bachman. She believes that america will fall if it fails to support Nation of Israel. We must remember that only
inside of Crhist are we true seed of Abraham and are partakers of the promises that were made to Abraham and his seed who is Christ. Outside of Christ Israelis believe and think that they are special as they believe they are Gods chosen people and have the rights of the promises. The Israel of God is made up of believers from many or all nations. I believe as I have stated before that support of any nation over another does not guarentee special blessing from God. However; Support and favor to the people that belong to the Kingdom or Nation of God ie; beievers, brings blessing. Having said these things, I know that the traditional teaching makes the Nation of Isrel something special. But as I consider scripture the only nation that is special is the Nation of God. Those people who believe in Jesus and have by faith accepted him and received Gods righteousness. Born again, Have recieved the washing of rebirth, have been transformed by the renewing of their mind. are ministers of reconciliation, have been bought with a price and I could go on and on. These are Israel

    1. Thank you, Todd. And I appreciate very much your comments. We are God’s people, we who have overcome through Jesus Christ.

  8. All who live by religious garbage will prophetically die by that same religious garbage.
Does not the human race know better by now? If you teach and live by the Bible and or Koran- You are by definition and logic teaching life with a forgone conclusion!!
The Bible is a book of psychological poker written by primeval poker players No more no less – Religion is a political tool now played by Political poker players
