Westerwelle citied Hamas’s refusal to renounce violence and recognize Israel .Despite his explanation, his visit without having a meeting with Hamas earned the ire of its leadership.

“It was completely wrong to come to Gaza and not meet with the legal government’s representative,” Hamas official Kamal Shrafi declared.

Westerwelle also called on Hamas to release hostage IDF S.Sgt. Gilad Schalit immediately and without any conditions, saying that was the only humane thing to do. “We think that our Israeli friends know that they can count on us,” he concluded.

German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle would have committed political suicide if has recognized Hamas.

The Islamic terrorist organization has the same ideology as the former Nazi-party in German.  They share the idea that a World without Jews, would have been a better place.

The leadership in Hamas are all Holocaust deniers. That is a criminal offense in Germany. It would have been absurd if the German Foreign Minister has acknowledge Hamas as anything but a modern day neo-Nazi party.
