Pink Floyd turns to Jew hate to make money

During the next “The Wall Live” tour, Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters will target Israel’s West Bank security fence.

Roger Waters sings about walls, and will use the Pink Floyd band to attack Israel.

On Wednesday the Anti-Defamation League slammed Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters for using what the organization said was anti-Semitic imagery.

Waters will during performances of “Goodbye Blue Sky” on “The Wall Live” tour will target Israel’s West Bank security fence. He has for a long time been using imagery long associated with stereotypes about Jews and money, the ADL said. An animated scene projects images of planes dropping bombs in the shape of Jewish Stars of David followed by dollar signs, the organization said.

ADL National Director Abraham Foxman in a statement called the juxtaposition “outrageous.”

95 per cent ot the "wall" around Israel is a fence. Effectivly it has ended Islamic suicide bombers from killing Jews.

“While [Rogers] insists that his intent was to criticize Israel’s West Bank security fence, the use of such imagery in a concert setting seems to leave the message open to interpretation. But the meaning could easily be misunderstood as a comment about Jews and money,” Foxman said in the statement.

“We wish that Waters had chosen some other way to convey his political views without playing into and dredging up the worst age-old anti-Semitic stereotype about Jews and their supposed obsession with making money,” Foxman adde.

My comment:

Pink Floyd’s attack on Israel is a complete falsehood.

The so-called wall is not a wall. 95 per cent of it is a security fence that was set up to stop Islamic suicide bombers to enter into Jewish dominant areas of Israel and kill innocent Jews.

The part of the security fence that is a wall, is set up around Jerusalem. Her there is a need for a wall, to stop sniper fire on cars and busses.

To reducible the state of Israel for setting up this security fence, is injustice. Because no person in the whole World was able to come up with a better idea of how to stop Islamic terrorists to create havoc inside Israel.

And the best part of it: The security fence brought an end to Islamic human suicide bombs exploding inside Israel.

I guess that is why Pink Floyd is so offended by this Israeli success. It exposed the evil motive of peoples heart.

  1. Any one that grew up with Pink Floyd and followed the band knows that Roger waters lost his bid in court to retain the bands name. Why he is using it now i dont know. As far as i am concerned after physical and verbal attacks between him and Roger Gilmore in 1973 and other members, kicking out Richard Wright from the band after the wall tour, and professed aiethist he in my mind is not only not credible as a band member and has a no credible understanding of the Jews. The true genius for the musical-flow band was in order R.Wright,Dave Gilmore,Nick Mason in early days Syd Barret the “Founder”, I do not like to even admit he was a band member. DISGRACFULL !!!!!!!!!

  2. Roger Waters vs David Gilmore may have actually been about this sort of thing. It has always appeared that the giant chasm twixt them was socio-politic, and that is too bad. However, using Pink Floyd as the name for dropping this diatribe upon is an overstep. David Gilmore retains the rights to the name Pink Floyd. I know not his affiliations, but Waters lacks the rights as of decades ago. It has always been my opinion that David Gilmore chose to leave his politics out of his public statement, where Waters chose to thrust his upon people. Whether Gilmore is further to the left than I’d like seems less obviated than Waters.

It saddens me to discuss these fellows in this context. They’re both to be presumed left-leaning, but Waters seems significantly more radical, where Gilmore politic is less of an imposition. They have both made contributions to the music world that cannot be discounted.

Mr. Gilmore has addressed social issues in his later compositions, ‘Division Bell’ being the most significant that pops into my thinker. I find artwork to be at odds with my regard politic. A dichotomy I have learned to deal with.

Sadly, Rick Wright passed a couple years ago. He seemed to be, like my favorites in the artsy fartsy realm, less inclined to project his politics as an issue.

Age takes its toll, I suppose. Mr. Gilmore is the reigning master of Pink Floyd so Waters should not be considered the voice of the band as he should not have been for years now.

Keep up the good fight Ivarfeld. My support is always for you.

    1. Dear DeanH.

      Shalom.

In my youth I was a great fan of Pink Floyd. The Wall is one of the best movies that has ever been made. The Wall is a movie that is anti-violence and anti-war. I am a pacifist, and I believe Jesus was the same.

I support the IDF. Just like I will support the US Army protecting mainland America from an attack. I have to be able to live with, that not all people on Earth are pacifists, ready to give up their life on Earth at any moment.

The Israeli army is in a league of its own. No army has won so many wars, and returned not Jewish-land taken from the enemies of the Jewish people.

Twice Israel have handed the Sinai desert back to Egypt, after being attacked by Pan-Arabian forces. If this is not grace (undeserved kindness), than nothing is grace.

I wish Roger Waters would be able to see this. The ‘Wall” around Jerusalem has been set up for pure self-defense. If the Islamic forces had accepted the Jewish nation right to exist, the wall would have been removed within 24 hours.

  3. We are in agreement, as usual. Roger Waters has no place to speak of this in the context he does, or at all, for that matter. His application is flatly wrong.

My only point, really, was that he doesn’t represent the old band we shared admiration for.

Every item, each aspect you point out here is exactly correct, as usual. A pleasure to see your timely response.

I’m at 0230 local time, and quite tired. Goodnight, my friends.

  4. I was brief in my footnote on Roger Waters and Pink Floyd, Seems a few weeks ago he wanted to promote that very song to the people against Irans govt. Am I wrong?. I was obssesed with music,as a child saw beattles on tv went to led zep. was not worth the $7.50 i paid, Pink Floyd 3 times, Frank Zappa- excellent gutarist but a advocate for profanity. Too many to list, most were artists, many for fame, purchases and money. As the years went by they were dying of drug overdoses, plane crashes and contract disputes like creedence clearwater revival between brothers, being exploited by excecutive wolves, name it it happened. I love the Jews, will die for them as well as Roger Waters, we are to love. This is the living trademark of Christ. Even as I am a born again follower of Jesus Christ and a mere gentile I do not listen to music anymore, Recearch, you will be shocked to find out many groups were practicing witchcraft, some on stage while performing. Pop question, What personification brought forth music, If you guess God ,or Jesus Christ, Your wrong!!!!

Shalom, and thanks for this comment:

      You wrote:

      My reply:

Who was the first musician in the Bible?

I would like to know the source of information.

      1. Dear ivarfjeld, Is it ok if i say Shalom to you with respect, It was lucifer, prior to his fall. i use the Holy Bible kjv. Google [Lucifer angel of music], look up Ezekiel 28-13. satan started using music blatinly in rock and roll, smoothed it out in disco, yet rock remained in my veiw ending at most in the late 80s, then heavy metal. which i got a taste in the 60s with black sabbath, [in a gada da vida] song the words were in fact [In the garden of eden],90s came rap, then gangster rap. Now i just refuse to listen to any music…to much darkness, hidden or otherwise. Setting my MIND on the things ABOVE.

      2. Dear Thornstricken.

Shalom, and thanks for a fresh comment.

I do not agree that music is from Lucifer. Music is like a kitchen knife, it can be used both badly and wisely. There are Biblical evidence of great musicians. One of them is Jewish King David.

        Psalm 5:1.

Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my sighing.

        1 Samuel 16:23
Whenever the spirit from God came upon Saul, David would take his harp and play. Then relief would come to Saul; he would feel better, and the evil spirit would leave him.

  5. Dear ivarfjeld, Shalom, It really does not matter wether we agree on who was created to give the ministry of music. But we can agree that it does go both ways. In the case of like the difference of [feeling] like Jim Morrison of The Doors and say Steve perry of Journey in Rock there is a vast differnce. There is wonderfull music as was created in the begining, like Michial w Smith. I just choose not to listen to any anymore, not sinfull, just by choice.

  6. What a suprise. When ever aspects of Israeli policy come under attack , then hard line zionists cry anti-semitism. Here in teh UK many Jews oppose aspects of Israeli policy

  7. iverfjeld , Shalom…… First forgive me but i cannot retract the origin of music, Just thought you would like to know in Gen.4-21 was the begining of musicians in Cains civilization. Ironic how it begun there in consideration of music today.

  8. I hate this! I’ve always been a big fan of Pink Floyd’s, since I was a kid in high school in the early 70’s but..I’m first a Christian who supports Israel with all my heart. I will never buy another album or support Roger Waters in anyway and it appears that I’ll feel the same about Gilmour as it would appear he’s joined Waters in his Jew Bashing

  9. more know the Jews more want to my dog
you´re understand wall success has no hard occupation 1000 years israel is going to fall down
