“We will not let Hamas fire on Israeli civilians and we have the capabilities to stop them.”
This is a promise from IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi. His reassurance comes after weeks of rockets and mortar fire into Israel from the Gaza-strip.
“The attempts at delegitimizing Israel and the IDF are growing stronger. But we have a moral army which operates in the most professional and ethical ways.” Ashkenazi noted.
“We face the threat of rockets and missiles fired from urban areas and nature reserves. We will not let Hamas fire on Israeli civilians and we have the capabilities to stop them.”
Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi also gave a warning to Iran, and those who wants to ban Jews from living in Judea and Samaria.
“Iran is growing stronger, as are Lebanon and Hamas. We also have much work to do in the Judea and Samaria region [West Bank]. The IDF, as the guarding shield of Israel, will stand between the enemy and the State of Israel….We must continue fighting for our right to live here.”

The state of Israel do commit mistakes, just like all of us. But the Jewish homeland still needs our support. The men and woman who fight in the arm forces of Israel do not only fight for the Jewish people. They fight for all of us. Israel is the frontier for all people who love freedom and democracy.
I support the IDF. Please do the same.

Do the IDF live by the teachings of Jesus?
Not at all. The IDF is a army of Jews, who do not believe in the teachings of the New Testament.
But as I have said before. If an Islamic suicide bomber do enter you house, you will have two options. Either quickly disable him, or run faster than him.
The Jews are called to look after Zion, the land of Israel and the city of Jerusalem. If they do run away, they will live in disobedience to their calling.
Even though the IDF do not live by the teaching of Jesus, the Hebrew Bible set up the highest ethics for the Jewish army. Bless the aliens. Look after strangers among you.

My Comment: Israel (including IDF) needs our support. Nations are against them, but as the bible says: “Every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess to Christ.”
There will also be a time very soon, when Christ will restore the nation of Israel, and will rule.
Gloria, I have no quarrels against the people of Israel who genuinely desire a peaceful and honorable settlement of this long standing conflict. My Comment: Jesus Christ is the creator of all things, including you. This world of non-believers will find out soon enough the truth. But I’d make a suggestion to you. Do not question or judge God because he is forever truthful and just! We are the sinners, Christ is the Holy God, who made the ultimate sacrifice for me and you. All you have to do is repent and accept him.

I don’t believe in any Islamic propaganda as much as I don’t in Jewish one. The Israeli people have a genuine right to defend themselves if attacked and maintain sovereignty of the state.
Having said so, it is also vital to realize the excesses that both sides, the Hamas, Hezbollah and other Arab militants as well as the IDF have committed in this conflict. Two wrongs do not make one right. It never has and never will.
But supporting the IDF for its actions is not exactly any divine calling. This same force has committed atrocities under the guise of defending Israel and its people. The same holds true for terrorist outfits such as the Hezbollah and similar militias who have killed Israeli innocents.
I repeat, the Israelis and the Palestinians have a right to peaceful and honorable co-existence, which has to be guaranteed by the global community.
We cannot go back to ancient times and redefine national borders. If that were to happen, the Indian empire would stretch up to Far East Asia while the Roman empire would swallow almost entire Europe. The North and South America would have to be returned to indigenous people of the land such as Mayas, Incas, Aztecs.
I condemn any killing of innocent Israeli citizens as much as I abhor killing of innocent Palestinians. Therefore, any support, even moral support to the IDF is wrong.
The IDF has never been convicted of war crimes despite its impunity. It has become a force in itself that might someday plunge Israel into military dictatorship. Nations that have permitted and pardoned impunity of its armed forces have always plunged into anarchy and military role- as will be evident from history books.

Dear Gloria, I will repeat the same thing as I have said before: You are free to follow and believe whatever faith you belong to. Religion and faith are personal choices and nobody has a right to dictate to others what they should follow or they are wrong.
It was not my desire to visit this website and speak evil about your religion. I have never done that before and I don’t intend to do so now. I was merely searching for pictures of Kali Mata for my daughter’s school project for the Durga Pooja festival, which is celebrated with tremendous fervor in Bengal, when I struck upon the utter rubbish your friend had written.
What angered me the most was his wanton assault on Kali and Hinduism. It was absolutely clear from his writings, his knowledge about India and Hinduism was very poor- the say the least. Half knowledge is dangerous. And half knowledge combined with arrogance can have extremely serious consequences.
About Israel- I have been to this country several times. And most Israeli’s I’ve met have expressed their genuine desire to have a peaceful and permanent settlement to the Middle East conflict, as it’s widely called. These Israelis believe their country can exist peacefully along side Palestine. The late parents of an Israeli friend of mine had survived the holocaust as teenagers in Poland. And yet this friend- who served the IDF some years ago- says Israel is now committing another holocaust. Surely, this is no Hezbollah propaganda as your semi-educated and frustrated friend claims.
Decent, educated Israelis abhor violence more than any other nationality in this world because their sons and daughters are forced into military conscription and can fall victim to a suicide bomber or an enemy rocket. As these Israelis and they’ll tell you their honest opinion about the IDF.
Terrorism in modern day occurs in many forms. We in the law enforcement dread the day when an international organization like the UN or Interpol will define the term Terrorist. Why? Simply because the line between terrorism and freedom fighters is so thin, it can have disastrous consequences in law enforcement. If anybody who takes to arms for the freedom of his or her motherland is a terrorist, that definition would include everyone from George Washington and Che Guevarra to Mahatma Gandhi and in recent years, Gusmao Xanana, who led East Timor to freedom from Indonesia through an armed struggle.

It is true, that I am not glued to the computer. I have been out telling two IDF soldiers today, that Jesus loves them.
It is impossible to explain to people who do not believe in Jesus, neither accept that the Jews are called by Him to look after Israel, that He loves IDF soldiers.
Jesus loved King David and his soldiers. Jesus loved Joshua and his soldiers. But for people who do not want to read the Bible, it is pointless to have a long “political debate” on this issue. They do not know that the “David” I am talking about, is not the milkman on the corner of the building.
