«If Jerusalem doesn’t expand, and expand eastward, it will become the Gaza Strip».

This is a public statement by Aryeh King, the founder of Israel Land Fund. King spoke Sunday at a conference at the Menachem Begin Heritage Center.
The Israel Land Fund has launched plans to build 187.000 new homes in East Jerusalem. The fund wants to build both between Jerusalem and Ma’aleh Adumim, and in a a chain of territory extending from Ramallah to Bethlehem. King described a plan that would use privately owned land and property belonging to the Jewish National Fund.
«If Jerusalem doesn’t expand, and expand eastward, it will become the Gaza Strip», King said.
«There are 800 dunams [80 hectares] in E-1, owned by a wealthy, Jewish philanthropist, that could prove room enough for 100,000 housing units», King said. «The potential is enormous».
King’s vision faces a number of obstacles, among them the area’s large Palestinian population, who claim the territory for a future Palestinian state.

My comment:
The Jews has a Biblical right to build on the Mountains of Zion. That is mainly the two districts of Judea and Samaria.
If the Jewish people do not populate these areas, they will live in disobedience towards God of Israel. The Arabs will also win the war by demographics. There is no one who put limits to Arabic expansion in the area.
The prophetic word is clear:
Isaiah 65:9
I will bring forth descendants from Jacob, and from Judah those who will possess my mountains; my chosen people will inherit them, and there will my servants live.
Ezekiel 34:13
I will bring them out from the nations and gather them from the countries, and I will bring them into their own land. I will pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in all the settlements in the land.
