Israel will retaliate against Syria. This warning has been sent to Damascus through a third party.
Israel has warned Syrian President Bashar Assad that a Hizbullah missile attack on Israel will not be tolerated. The Lebanese terrorist organization fired 4.000 rockets into Israel in the summer of 2006. In a future conclict, Israel will retaliate against Syria. The IDF claim that the regime in Damascus has armed the Shi’ite terror militia with thousands of longer-range rockets and missiles.
A letter Israel sent to Syria through a third party earlier this month even referred to Hizbullah as a «division of the Syrian army». Last week, the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Rai reported that Syria had transferred Scud-D missiles to Hizbullah.
«It’s only natural for Lebanon to have the means to defend itself against an Israeli attack,” responded Hizbullah official Hussein Haj Hassan, adding that “what we have is not [Israel’s] business».
