During the United Nations vote on the Goldstone report on Friday, the United Kingdom left a small and quite exclusive group of nations that supports the state of Israel, or at least do not side with Islam.

On Friday London left the abstaining camp, and sided with Iran, Libya and Syria. The US and Canada are the only major nations still standing with Israel, together with minor countries like Panama, Micronesia and Macedonia. Long time supporter of Israel like Australia suddenly decided to abstain from voting, and joined the camp of other fence sitters like Germany and Italy.

Not one EU member state voted in favor of Israel.

The Goldstone report is not only blatantly biased against Israel. It takes the testimony of Hamas supporting Palestinians at face value. It amounts to a full frontal attempt to criminalise self-defence operations mounted by democracies confronting terror groups.

Many nations calls them self «friends of Israel». Some are led by mere talkers, others by hypocrites, and the rest simply ruled by liars and imposers.

The draft resolution on the Follow-up to the report of the United Nations Fact-Finding Mission on the Gaza Conflict (document A/64/L.48) was adopted by a recorded vote of 98 in favour to 7 against, with 31 abstentions, as follows:
