Jordanian MP wants new war to bring «final peace» on Israel

Dozens of Jordanians took part in a sit-in Monday, calling for abolishing the peace treaty with Israel. Protesters also burned the Israeli flag.

Islamist MP Hamzah Mansour (center) feels Jordan has not foungt enough wars with Israel.

Participants included members of Jordan’s professional associations and the Islamic Action Front, the political wing of the Muslim Brotherhood.

«Fifteen years have passed since the treaty was signed and it did not bring any good. The treaty was signed against the will of the public,», said Islamist MP Hamzah Mansour, head of the Higher Executive Committee for Defending the Homeland and Confronting Normalization.

My comment:

The peace treaty between Israel and Jordan was singed in 1994. The treaty normalized relations between the two countries and resolved territorial disputes between them.

Its signing is also closely linked with the efforts to create peace between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization representing the Palestinian Authority. It was signed at the southern border crossing of Arabah on October 26, 1994, and made Jordan only the second Arab country (after Egypt) to normalize relations with Israel.

October 26, 1994. Yitzhak Rabin and King Hussein shake hands and sign a peace agreement in front of US President Bill Clinton.

When a Jordanian MP now wants to replace the peace treaty with a de facto war declaration, He only explains with blunt words, what King Abdullah have been proposing in a more diplomatic language. An all out war on the Jewish nation.

Not only with arms and military means. But politically culturally, demographically and economical war on Israel. The Jordanian declaration of war is part of a global onslaught, a bid to bring the Jewish state of Israel to and end. The onslaught is not based on logic and reason. Its based on Jew-hate. The origin of this evil is principalities of darkness in the heavenly realm. But God of Israel is not sleeping. The Jordanians, Arabs and Persians who harm the Jewish people will have to pay for their crimes when the Messiah returns to Earth.

  1. I am Jordanian and I REALLY REALLY think that peace with Israel is one of the best things that happened in Jordanian history. Why fight? Why keep hatred among us? We should have signed the treaty ages ago! Go peace 🙂

    1. Dear Timur.

Shalom, and welcome to this site.

I thank Jesus that I have a reader and a friend in Jordan. I was in Petra some few weeks ago. If I had known you than, may be we could have met? I hope and pray that Jordan will continue living in peace with Israel. When the Messiah return, people who have supported the Jewish people will be rewarded.

      1. Shalom!

Yes, I really believe in the peace with Israel, and hope that our relations will not only be political, but social as well. I hope that in the near future Jordanians and Palestinians would call Israelis their brothers, and we would live in peace and unity, and there won’t be any discrimination or grudges, just understanding and forgiveness no matter what happens!

In the Messiah we will be one people. Both Jews and gentiles. The World as we know it will come to an end, and global tribulation and panic is about to begin. Jesus the Messiah is the only answer. In Him we have eternal life.
