Sarkozy to be tested by promise not to shake hands with Ahmadinejad

«I will not shake the hand of someone who wants to wipe Israel off the map».

The President of France is able to smell the rat of Jew hate in Tehran.
The President of France Nicolas Sarkozy has been able to smell the rat of Jew hate in Tehran.

This is a recorded promise of the President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy. It is valid because Sarkozy will get a chance to face the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, if he choses to attend the UN General Assembly this week.

Sarkozy spokes during a meeting at the Elysee presidential palace with lawmakers from his UMP party on Tuesday, Sept. 15.

The president of France has become the first Western leader to expressly admit knowledge of an Iranian nuclear weapons program, French president Nicolas Sarkozy said:

«It is a certainty to all of our secret services. Iran is working today on a nuclear (weapons) program. We cannot let Iran acquire nuclear weapons because it would also be a threat to Israel».

French intelligence thus goes further even than US intelligence agencies which maintained in an assessment to leaked to the media on Sept. 10: «Iran has created enough nuclear fuel to make a rapid, if risky, spring for a nuclear weapon».

My comment:

Its always good to read about World leaders who are ready to boycott Iran, by refusing to shake hands with its leaders. Because the list of people who have done  so, is long like a year of famine.

But Nicolas Sarkozy must be willing to more than that. He most be willing to boycott Iran economically, in a bid to force the regime to end its nuclear weapons program. That will surely hurt the economy of France, but it will be a needed sacrifice to save the World from the threat of a nuclear Iran.

I dont think Sarkozy is willing to do that. By refusing to shake the hands of Ahmadinejad might create a great media show. But of he continues to trade and do business with Tehran, Sarkozy will only be another hypocrite that is ruling in Paris.
