«Media have made our service into a circus, where everyone can enter and do whatever they like».
This is a comment by priest Susanne I. Mønsted. She reacts after Danish Radio last Sunday sent a false-Jesus into a Church in Copenhagen, and used hidden camera to film the reaction of the faithful who attended the Mass.
The crew from the state owed Danish TV and Radio station also tried to get the signature from the people who attended the Church, to approve the video to be published.
A man dressed in white, bearing a crown of thorns, with fake marks of nails at his hands and feet, walked up to the alter inside the Church. He also participated in he Church service.
«I did not see the actor before I had entered the pulpit to preach. I continued the service. Only after the mass was over i contacted the man», explains priest Afonso Waco.
The priest refused to sign the paper presented him by Danish Radio, and did not give his permission for the media to published picture that were shoot with hidden camera.
Parish priest Susanne I. Mønsted condemn the media for their lack of sensitivity.
«I fail to understand that people do not have any respect for others, who seek to a Church to find holiness and silence. Others come to mourn or to be comforted», explains Mønsted,
Its long ago that Stunt-TV or stupid TV became a hit in our homes and houses. But in the last year, the actors have crossed the red line of what is acceptable.
Like in the ancient Colosseum in Rome, people are now rejoicing seeing violence, and others getting badly hurt or insulted.
To make a mockery out of Jesus inside a Church building, all of us are capable of doing. With or without help from actors. I am also sure the Parishioners was not offended by a man acting like Jesus, coming and reminding them about Him.
But that a state owned Media company makes a bid to make the reaction of truth seekers into television entertainment, is a disgrace. Its not only senseless. Its sign of bad taste, no culture, no class and a complete failure of the Danish Educational system.
What took place inside this Church building in Denmark, reminded me of a warning from the Jewish Apostle Paul:
2 Timothy 3
Godlessness in the last days:
«But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them»
