Lutheran priest says «sorry» after hearing honest Islamic message

I am «terribly sorry» about Sheik Tamimi’s speech, said Lutheran priest Trond Bakkevig. But he hoped that it would not shed a negative light on the entire evening.

Trond Bakkevig has sided with the violent religion of Islam against Israel.

Rev. Dr. Trond Bakkevig is a member of Council of Religious Institutions of the Holy Land, the interfaith body that works with Tamimi.

On May the 11th 2009, The Pope of Rome was so upset with the Muslim cleric, that the Pontiff walked out of his own interfaith dialogue forum in Jerusalem.

I was not there, but i guess Bakkevig in typical Norwegian naive manners, decided to stay when evil men attacks Israel. Just like the Norwegian Foreign Minister did during Ahmadinejad`s latest hate speech in Geneva. To Jerusalem Post Bakkevig had the following comment:

«It is important that the whole evening is not just Tamimi’s speech». Bakkevig was there, and represented the Interfaith forum and the Lutheran Church of Norway.

The Lutheran priest has earlier been on the barricades, blaming Israel for the unrest in the Holy Land.

«We are convinced that if religious leaders are not taken seriously in these efforts, religion will be exploited by the forces of extremism and violence on both sides».

Bakkevig also wants Israel to give up control over Jerusalem:

«We also encourage discussion about the future of Jerusalem, a city dear to Palestinian Muslims and Christians, and to Israeli Jews, as well as to billions of believers around the world»

«As a facilitator of this work I constantly hear the yearning for Jerusalem to be a city of peace, where Palestinians and Israelis of all backgrounds are free to come, pray and celebrate their faith».

«I carry a dream that one day a sheikh, a rabbi and a bishop together will meet in Nablus and speak about the precious heritage of this land; that they together will walk along the beach of Haifa and share the riches of their own faith with one another. And that all three will be able to go to the Holy City of Jerusalem and wish each other well when they go to their respective places of worship».

My comment:

Trond Bakkevig says he works for a solution where he wants : «Jerusalem to be a city of peace, where Palestinians and Israelis of all backgrounds are free to come, pray and celebrate their faith».

Dear Bakkevig. Wake up!

Jerusalem was liberated in 1967. The organization you work with, will only end up giving Jerusalem back to the Arabs who occupied the city from 1948 to 1967. In those days, Jews were not even permitted to approach their Holy places.

If you were Jewish, you would not likely have invited these men for dinner.
If you were Jewish, you would not likely have invited these men for dinner.

The problem you face in your ecumenical work in Jerusalem, is only linked to your decision to work with men controlled by evil.

The religion that Bakkevig promotes as a religion of peace, is representing by men who talks about peace in public, but always plans in darkness for the next war with Israel.

Bakkekvig: Your Interfaith prayer partner Sheik Tamimi’s is an evil but honest man. He bluntly tells us that the war against Israel will never end. Even in public, he never speaks about peace.
