One of many beggars who struggle to survive inside the state of Israel.

Data published by the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) on Wednesday indicate that 31 per cent of Israelis are at risk of falling into poverty, compared with an average of 17 per cent in the European Union. Among the EU states, Spain and Greece had the highest percentage of citizens at risk of poverty – 20 per cent .

The CBS report, which analyzed statistics compiled in 2011, indicates a rise in the number of Israelis and Europeans who are at risk of poverty. In 2011, 31 per cent of Israelis were at risk of poverty, up from 26 per cent in 2001. Apart from Germany and Sweden, Israel recorded the sharpest increase in the number of citizens who are at risk of plunging into poverty when compared with the EU states.

My comment:

Some Evangelical Christians have made Israel an idol. They glorify the Israeli society, and hail the Israeli government.

This is not Biblical.

The state of Israel was not re-birthed because of the righteousness or infallibility of the Jews. To the rather opposite, the Bible explain that the state of Israel was birthed for the sake of the name of the Holy God of Israel.

Ezekiel 36:32

I want you to know that I am not doing this for your sake, declares the Sovereign Lord. Be ashamed and disgraced for your conduct, people of Israel!

As we approach the end, the moral decay of Israel will increase. Sodomy is already widely accepted, and 40.000 babies are killed in the womb of Jewish mothers every year. Israel is also exporting weaponry, who helps various dictatorships murder those who oppose freedom, liberty and human rights.

There will soon me fresh Messianic martyrs in Jerusalem.

             Revelation 11:8

Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city – which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt – where also their Lord was crucified.

Still we support Israel. With all her errors and faults. Simply because the restoration of the Jewish homeland is the best proof there is of a living God, the Holy One of Israel.  Jews have a birthright to live in Judea and Samaria. Jerusalem is the not dividable capital of the state of Israel, God’s chosen city.

When the Messiah returns, both Jews and gentiles will face judgment.  If you want to live, you have to surrender to Yeshua of Nazareth.  If you are not cleansed in His blood, you will die in your sins and perish.

  1. In the United States …..(most Cities if they will be honest and admit it) they bring in the homeless when the temperature drops below 32 degrees….32 and above they can sleep on the streets and/or fend for themselves….unless they can bring in a ‘good story and/a good show of goodwill at the Christmas Holidays’ especially a family with small children the younger the children the better the story….but the eyes need to be able to become big with the toys and bright shiny gifts and the food that they receive….it’s a tradition from town to town..a ‘Christian rite’ from each denomination it has no bounds..and each brag and boast how ‘they’ did the best for the homeless for that year….so let’s praise Jesus…. (it’s sickening when you hear how you hear it every year ‘send in your donation…yet you don’t have any needs for 11 months out of a year…just those 3 weeks just before Christmas…and Don’t forget ‘it’s Tax Deductible!….So give you best…(this is the sound from pulpit, radio, TV and Social Clubs oops they are called Church’s..(places of worship or is it places of indoctrination?? (God help us… you can almost hear the ‘gathering of ‘kindling ‘firewood’ for the Flames of Hell to be kept going….Oh so much to repent for …so much!

By the way…I was flipping thru channels tonight…the ladies dresses were too short on the News channels…and I saw Joyce Meyers…’Question?? What happened to her face? It looks pasty, not real….What happened to her mouth also? her mouth looks like the 1920 pixie doll, girl that half painted her lips like they were always in a “puckered-up-lips” for a kiss look” the doll was on a Long stick at a carnival I saw them in those Old 1930 movies…the Bobbed hair..also..the saying …”No matter how close your Mother Bobs her hair, she’s still your Mother”…!!

Seriously Joyce Meyers looks different! I could say much more but I’ll let it stand with I’m so sorry. I do pray she’ll ………..I don’t see her wanting to give up her compound….but I sure pray she’d want Jesus far more than what I saw the fruit of this morning!!

    • Face lifts is the thing today. All the celebrities get them. Men and women alike. Even The so called celebrities in the Christian world. Personally I think they’re ugly. Those people don’t look like they used to. Its all vanity, a chasing after the wind.

  2. Thank you Ivar! Reminds me of the beggar and the rich man. It is not too late for Jews or Christians to believe. Listen to the word of the Lord in Luke 16:20-31 But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores,
So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torments in Hades he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Then he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented int he flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented and besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to your cannot, nor an those from there pass to us. The he said, I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my fathers house, for I have five brothers that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment. Abraham said to him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said. No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent. But he said to him. If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead. THEY DON’T BELIEVE THEIR OWN BIBLE! Not only does these verses provide warning to the Jews but also the Catholic’s who think they will go to purgatory, the Eastern religions who believe in reincarnation as well. Wrong! Once you are in Hell you stay there, by your own free will and stubborness and pride. Oh Lord God who has believed our report?

  3. Ivar, do mot make to quick and simple conclusions!

It is not fair to compare the number of poor people in Israel with the number of poor people in USA and Europe for many reasons.

First of all there are two big segments in the Israeli societies that instead of killing their unborn children for the sake of welfare, rather prefer big families. Many of the religious Jews and Arabs have big families and often only one bread winner.

Second, Israel have to use a lot of money for existensial survival, menaing that a lot of money goes for defense and security. And as far as I know the tax burden is at least, if not greater, in Israel compared to the tax levels in most of the western countries.

Third: In Norway for instance, it is very expensive to have children because of the materialistic pressure. Expensive clothes, expensive sport equipments and so forth. Almost every activities the children participe in is very expensive. It did not use to be that way. And the expensive and over-organized childhood of Norwegian children does not mean the children in Norway are happier or more secure than for instance children growing up in Israel.

Beside, to be poor in Norway is terrible, because it means shame and islolation. To be poor in Israel may not be a problem if all your neighboor have the same lifestyle.

I believe Israel is a much more child friendly society, and children can have happy and meaningful life with loving and caring parents without all the expensive materilaistic lifestyle. And noone is really poor as long as they have food, clothes and a roof over their head.

An may I suggest that the “poor”people may is a blessing, future and hope of any country, since they – generally speaking – tend to have a more sound way of thinking and a less decadent and selfish lifestyle .

    _____________

And last: To support Israel is not the same as worshipping it.

    • Dear Jan.

      Shalom, and love in Jesus.

Politically, Israel is governed by right wing economics. Do not forget that hardly a year ago, 400.000 youth and elderly people, marched in Tel Aviv and complained about high cost of living. They were not complaining about not being able to live in luxury, but about hardly being able to pay their house rent and food bills.

When I meet Israeli youth, in particular ex-soldiers, almost all of them explain that they have no hope for the future. When people fall below poverty line, they do not do so to the glory of God. But because the Messianic instruction to share has been ignored.

We are not supposed to claim we have property of our own. The Kibutz’nicks who came home to Israel had everything in common, just as the Messianic believers in the book of Acts. I have been blessed by visiting a couple of such camps. The easy, simplistic life, is truly something that pleases God of Israel. But less and less people are willing to listen and obey.

      • My question to you is this: Why do you expect more from Israel than other countriy in the world? You say that we are not supposed to claim we have property of our own, and that we (including Israelis) should live according to the book of Acts. Somethin does not seem right here. Israel is not a Christian countries, so why do you not use this standard for other countries instead? Not even Christians care about these rules, so why expect a secular state to live like that?

Beside Israeli tax payers have paid for housing and integrating millions of immigrants during the last decades, a burden no other country inthe West have had, the same West which is pressuring Israel to restrict building homes in part of their own country and therefore parlytly responsible for the high housing prices in Israel.
