The Father did not reject the Son on the cross

False teachers claim that The Father rejected the Son on the cross. Psalm 22 gives the answer.

Jesus gaines eternal victory over Satan on the cross. His offer is accepted by the Father.

Jesus the Messiah had to fulfill the Psalms, the Law and the Prophetic Word when He carried our sins to the cross.

False teachers in the Word of Faith Movement teach that Jesus was rejected by His father on the Cross. That Jesus had to die spiritually, and was sent to Hell to be tormented by Satan.

Teachers like Kenneth Hagin, Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn and Kenneth Copeland are deadly wrong. They teach a doctrine taught by demons. Their gospel leads the flock astray.

Psalm 22 gives the answer. Using this psalm, Jesus cries out to His Father.  And His Father responded.

 Psalm: 22:1

My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? Why are You so far from helping Me.

Psalm 22: 16-18.

16 For dogs have surrounded Me;
The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me.
         They pierced My hands and My feet;
17 I can count all My bones.
They look and stare at Me.
18 They divide My garments among them,
And for My clothing they cast lots.

Psalm 24:

For He has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Nor has He hidden His face from Him.But when He cried to Him, He heard.

King James version.

To proclaim a Son that was rejected by the Father, is to proclaim a false Messiah. A Son that is not equally God as His Father. Such teachings end in a Satanic inspired conclusion: That on the cross Jesus was merely a man, not God.

The truth is that Jesus won victory on the cross. His perfect sin offering was accepted by the Father, and the devil was forever robed from any power over the children of God. In the Son there is no condemnation, and eternal life.

Colossians 1:19-21
For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Colossians 2:15
And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

Yes, this shows God’s compassion and heart felt emotions. He was deeply affected by the cross, which he knew was neccessary in order to fulfill his promise of redemption for mankind. God said ” My words will not come back to me void ” Amen !!! He does what he promises. It’s impossible for God to lie.
Praise God for the cross !!! We who beleive know we are saved by Jesus sacrifice for us when he took our sufferings our sins and our Infirmities on the
    cross.
    Peace to you,
    Patty,

    • Dear Patty.

      Shalom.

I feel so sad for all who copy false teachers, and claim that Jesus was rejected by His Father on the cross. The Bible says that many walk around as the enemies of the cross. They reject the very victory that gave them redemption.

      Philippians 3:18-19

For, as I have often told you before and now tell you again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things.

      (end of scripture)

This verse fit perfect for all World of Faith teachers who peddle the Gospel for money. The prosperity gospel is an invention from the bottomless pit. It makes us self centered, looking for our return on money gifted with dubious and false motives.

World of Faith preachers promotes all kinds of super revelations about the cross, that robes Jesus of the Bibles from His absolute divinity.

  2. Fantastic post on this issue with wonderful proofs! It seems there is no end to the blasphemies men (and women) can come up with to pervert the perfect Truth of our Almighty Messiah and King.
    Thanks Ivar!

  3. My translation in aramaic reads
    Mt 27 v 46
b My God My God for this I was spared (this was my destiny)
and He was righteous and God does not forsake the righteous

  4. The false teachers above are not the only ones who teach this falcehood. I would say most of Christian Evangelical teachers teach that, Except they teach that God the Father turned away;; from His Son because God can not look upon sin, They teach that the darkness covered the land for several hours testifies to the fact that God turned away from His Son
I am so tired of hearing these teaching I wish one of the Christian teachers would teach as to how is it possible for God to Reject God?
His Son testified in the book of John that when the Judeans of the time were looking upon Him they were looking on the Father as well.
That the Son and the Father are One.

I would in a conclusive teaching to support that theology. that God the Father turned away from His Son while he was on the cross, being sacrificed for the sins of mankind
